Crowds: Dec-Feb is busiest (still uncrowded by most standards)

Turtles: Nov-Mar: nesting season

Peak season. Book ahead for holidays (Christmas, New Year, Semana Santa).

Weather: Hot, humid, afternoon thunderstorms

Surf: Biggest swells (June-August), consistent waves

Crowds: Fewer tourists, more locals

Bioluminescence: Still visible, best Jul-Sep

Turtles: Jul-Dec: hatching season

Greener landscape, dramatic skies. Bring rain jacket. Hurricane risk Aug-Oct (rare direct hits).
